Pilgrim House beginning

to take shape

Work has now commenced on Pilgrim House, Miller Cromdale’s brand new Grade A office development set in Aberdeen’s thriving North Dee Business Quarter.

More than 100 people are expected to be employed during the construction phase of Pilgrim House, with Mansell being the building contractor. The development totals 27,000 sq.ft, of which 13,800 sq.ft is available to let. This will be the only speculative office space in the city centre to offer a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating. Completion of the building is expected in September 2014, with Knight Frank and Young & Company acting as letting agents on the development.

Towards the end of last year, the Food Standards Agency signed a lease with Miller Cromdale – a joint venture between Miller Developments and Aberdeen-based developer Cromdale Ltd. - for 12,700 sq.ft of the 27,000 sq.ft building, and they are set to occupy the building’s third and fourth floors by the end of 2014.

Pamela Grant, Development Director at Miller Cromdale, said: “We are delighted that work on site is progressing and very much look forward to completion later this year.

“The North Dee Business Quarter is fast establishing itself as the key city centre business location within Aberdeen and we are delighted that the FSA has recognised its potential by signing up at Pilgrim House.

“Once complete, the FSA and other occupiers will benefit from first class office accommodation in a brand new building which has been carefully developed with sustainability at its core; ensuring occupiers enjoy very efficient running costs.”

This latest development is testament to the continuing regeneration of the area and follows on from a 40,000 sq.ft office development currently underway for French multinational electric utility company, GDF Suez, and more recently the submission of a planning application for Liberty House, another Grade A office development comprising 26,500 sq.ft of net lettable space and 28 car parking spaces.

Pilgrim House is located close to Aberdeen’s bus and train stations, and all city centre amenities, and 42 car parking spaces will also be available within the building itself.
